Building an Ice Cream Shop Landing Page with (AWS) AI-DLC
How I built a conversion-focused landing page for a village ice cream shop with support from (AWS) AI-DLC.
From local scoop to Live Site
Recently, I built a new landing page for a local ice cream shop in our village.
The goal was simple: make it easy for visitors to quickly understand what the shop offers, where to find it, and why it is worth a visit.
This was not a big enterprise project with dozens of stakeholders. It was a practical, local business case where speed, clarity, and trust mattered most.
Project goal
The landing page needed to do four things well:
- Show the shop's personality and local vibe.
- Highlight key visitor information (opening times, location, menu highlights).
- Turn visitors into action by making directions and contact easy from mobile.
- Functionality to easily change opening times and taste of the week.
What surprised me
I was honestly impressed by how many practical questions the AI-DLC agent asked up front.
Not just "what should it look like?", but also things like audience, priorities, and content flow.
That helped me avoid guesswork and ship something that actually fits the business.
Quick take on AI-DLC
For this small project, AI-DLC felt a bit heavy at times.
I probably could have built it faster with a coding-first agent and less process.
I also think tools like this work best when the full team is on board, including analysts, devs, product owners, and testers.
Still, for bigger projects with more moving parts, AI-DLC is really strong.
Design notes
The design is clean and friendly, but I am still figuring out how to get stronger visual results from GPT-5.4.
If you have tips for better prompts or workflow tweaks, I am all ears.
